Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all rubbish cleaning / waste removal services provided by GreenClear (“we”, “us”) across London and the M25 area.

Last updated:

1) Definitions

“Customer”, “you” – the person or business booking our service. “Site” – the address where collection occurs. “Load” – the volume/weight of waste removed in one visit. “Hazardous” – materials classified as hazardous under UK law.

2) Bookings & Time Windows

  • We offer arrival windows (e.g. 8-10am, 12-2pm). Traffic and previous jobs may affect exact timing. We’ll keep you updated.
  • You (or an authorised person 18+) must be present to confirm what goes, and to approve the final price before loading starts.
  • We may refuse or reschedule if conditions are unsafe (weather, access, hazards, illegal parking only option, etc.).

3) Quotes, Pricing & Loads

  • Quotes are based on volume and weight band plus labour required. The crew confirms the final price onsite before work begins.
  • Online and phone estimates are indicative only; if the load is substantially different on arrival, the price will be adjusted with your agreement.
  • Prices include loading, sweep-up and lawful disposal. We do not add congestion or parking surcharges, but safe/legal stopping is required (see §5).
  • Heavy materials (e.g. soil, rubble, tiles, bricks, wet wood) may be limited per load for safety and legal weight reasons.
  • Extra labour (stairs, long carry, dismantling) must be agreed onsite before starting.

See our Prices page for current guide rates.

4) Materials We Handle / Don’t Handle

  • Handled: household items, furniture, white goods (incl. WEEE), garden waste, office furniture/IT (data-wiped by you), builders’ waste (bagged where possible).
  • Not handled / only by prior agreement: asbestos, clinical/biological waste, chemicals/solvents/paint in liquid form, fuel/oils, pressurised cylinders, explosives, sharps, human/animal waste, suspected fly-tipped or stolen goods.
  • Fridges/freezers must be empty; mattresses/tyres/plasterboard/WEEE may carry specific disposal requirements – we’ll advise onsite.

5) Access, Parking & Site Conditions

  • Please ensure reasonable access (driveway/kerbside, lifts unlocked, items disconnected, attics/cellars safely reachable).
  • We require a safe and legal place to stop. If none is available, we may decline or rearrange. We do not request you to incur fines.
  • You’re responsible for permits/entry codes. If loading is delayed due to access issues, waiting time may apply (see §6).

6) Cancellations, Waiting & No-shows

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the window. Same-day cancellations or no-access on arrival may incur a minimum call-out charge.
  • We include a reasonable loading time in the price. Excess waiting caused by you may be chargeable in 15-minute blocks (agreed onsite first).
  • If we are delayed by events beyond our control (traffic incidents, severe weather), we’ll propose the next available slot.

7) Payment & Title

  • Payment is due on completion of loading and before departure, by card, bank transfer or cash (receipt provided).
  • Title to waste passes to us only upon payment. Until then, we may suspend removal or retain waste on the vehicle.
  • Late payment may incur reasonable administrative costs and interest as permitted by law.

8) Duty of Care & Documents

  • We operate as a licensed waste carrier. On request, we can provide carrier details and a Waste Transfer Note (for commercial loads).
  • We prioritise reuse and recycling. Disposal is carried out at authorised facilities only.

9) Liability & Insurance

  • We’re insured for public liability. Our liability for any proven loss or damage is limited to the price of the relevant service, except for injury or death caused by our negligence or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
  • We’re not responsible for: pre-existing damage; items you instruct us to remove in error; consequential losses; defects in building fabric when large items are moved through tight spaces.
  • Please remove fragile/valuable items from access routes. We won’t disconnect gas/water/electrics.

10) Photos, Reviews & Marketing

  • We may take before/after photos to evidence work completed and correct disposal. These are retained per our Privacy Policy.
  • Marketing use (website, social) only with your consent or if property details are anonymised and no persons are identifiable.

11) Fair Use & Safety

  • We may refuse items that are unsafe, illegal to transport, infested, or likely to contaminate other loads.
  • Where dismantling is requested, it’s limited to simple, non-structural items and only if safe to do so.

12) Complaints

If something wasn’t right, please tell us within 48 hours so we can investigate and put it right quickly.

13) Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.

14) Changes to these Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of booking applies to your service.
